HENRYS MYSTERY PHOTOS OF THE WEEK

IDENTIFY THESE AIRCRAFT SEE THE ANSWER PROVIDED BY HENRYS GRAMPA AT THE BOTTOM!!!

Amazing photos.......the S2F was the first from Grumman and then they added a plug of 13 inches behind the cockpit and put some very sophiscated electronics in the back for two crewman........the radar was outstanding for low level bombing runs at night over water.......we were the first squadron to deploy to the far east with the new airplane and caught the russians off guard when we surfaced one of their submarines passing through the Tushimo straits in 1964. And guess who was on station when we were tracking him and bombing the shit out of him with small practice depth charges..........smile........i have pics somewhere in the foot locker........they couldn't believe that we were able to do it for three days...........quite an airplane.......carried six wing stations......one for night photo and the rest for zuni pods or 5.0 rockets.........that was a thrill when you pickled on a ripple setting........the bomb bay held nuclear torps or mines or whatever you wanted.........that was were the radar bombing came in.......quite an airplane.....the only squadron in vietnam that stayed airborne around the clock in any and all weather...........many stories to tell........thanks for the memories......Love dad
